REGIONS2030: Piemonte towards the 2030 SDGs

piemonte save the date

The event is organised in the framework of the “REGIONS2030: Monitoring the SDGs in the EU regions - Filling the data gaps", funded by the European Parliament and developed by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) in collaboration with DG REGIO and ESTAT. It is one of the 10 regional events organised in the framework of the project. The event is co-organised by the Piedmont Region and the Joint Research Centre. The results of the regional activities will be presented in the final event of the REGIONS2030 project on 5 December 2023, in Brussels.

Piedmont Region is aware of the concept of SDGs and follows the discourse closely. However, relevant awareness-raising activities are on its territory and limited so far; for this reason, the Piedmont Region wants to engage stakeholders, share what has been done in this respect and discuss how everyone can contribute. This awareness-raising event will present activities from a regional, national and European perspective.

The event will be both technical and political; it will highlight progress in relation to the Regional Strategy for Sustainable Development and good practices towards the achievement of the SDGs. Relevant horizontal activities undertaken by the Piedmont Region, such as the Civic Social Network, the Pact for Sustainable Development, the Regional Masterclass and the Centre for the Sustainable Development of Piedmont will also be presented.
