The European Cancer Inequalities Registry (ECIR) process aims to identify trends, disparities and inequalities between Member States and regions. It helps Member States to identify respective gaps and shortcomings in cancer care and prevention, thus guiding targeted investments and interventions at EU, national and regional level.
The first 29 Country Cancer Profiles were published in February 2023. The objective of this meeting is to present the key findings from the new edition of Country Cancer Profiles, including fresh data and insights into the developments on cancer prevention and control at national levels.
Two new elements of the Country Profiles package are also introduced: a Synthesis report and a Cancer Performance Tracker, which provides an assessment of country performance against the EU average for a set of cancer indicators.
