A key goal of the Research Programme is to develop an empirical model detailing the relative importance of the various key push and pull factors determining asylum-related migration for certain typical flows.
The Programme will be broken down into four major areas:
Gaining an overview of existing relevant work (literature review)
Empirical work (including a large-scale social survey of asylum-seekers)
Constructing an empirical model of asylum-related migration
Developing tools for monitoring of relevant information sources
