MRU - Migration Research Unit - UCL

The Migration Research Unit (MRU) is a cross-departmental and interdisciplinary research unit based within the Geography Department at UCL which has academic members and researchers from many different areas of UCL. The MRU has an established reputation for high quality funded academic research, including grants from ESRC, AHRC, the EU and the Leverhulme Trust and consultancies for clients including the Home Office and DfID and the Home Office. Current research focuses particularly on refugees, humanitarian assistance, diasporas and remittances, religion and multiculturalism. The centre is also the home of the Refuge in Moving World Network which brings together scholars from across UCL working specifically on forced migration. The MRU runs an annual graduate student conference and a seminar programme.
