The European Commission's Knowledge Centre on Migration and Demography (KCMD), established on 20 June 2016, aims to provide scientific evidence for EU policymaking tailored to the needs of Commission services and the European External Action Service (EEAS). In addition to supporting the European Agenda on Migration, the focus is on migration developments at global scale and their demographic impact on the EU in the medium to longer term.
