The Europe Media Monitor (EMM) software analyses both traditional and social media. EMM gathers about 300,000 news articles per day in up to 70 languages. A mobile version is also available.

The application EMM-NewsExplorer displays the main news items per calendar day separately for 21 languages and shows which persons, organisations and countries were mentioned most in the news.

The application EMM-NewsBrief groups related items, categorises them into thousands of classes, extracts information, produces statistics, detects breaking news and sends out alerts. The application is updated every 10 minutes, 24 hours per day.
