AI in Science Summit 2026

The AI in Science Summit 2026 (AIS26) is an official Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union event and European AI Innovation Month flagship summit. It will bring together 1,000 scientists, industry leaders, investors and policymakers to explore the transformative impact of AI on scientific discovery - and how Europe can drive this transformation with a distinctive and responsible approach.

The event is taking place 15-16 October at University College Dublin, and the JRC will contribute on the afternoon of Day 1. Scientific Officer, Professor David Fernández Llorca, will both moderate and speak at the session 'Keeping Trust in AI Enabled Science - Evaluation of AI Systems: Data Quality, Uncertainty Quantification and Standards'.

AIS26 is free to attend and will be held exclusively in person.
