WFP 2026 Global Outlook: Mid-year update

  • Publication | 2026

Food insecurity is expected to remain at alarming levels through 2026, according to the WFP 2026 Global Outlook: Mid-year update.

Beyond visible famine, hidden hunger – micronutrient deficiencies affecting billions – weakens health systems, stunts economic growth, and perpetuates cycles of poverty and instability. The World Food Programme (WFP) has the teams and deep-field expertise to make sure every dollar donated achieves the maximum impact through effective and efficient programmes. We are urging the international community to invest in proven solutions to stop the spread of hunger and get back on track in 2026 towards a world with zero hunger.
