The 2025 Comprehensive Food Security and Vulnerability Analysis (CFSVA) provides an up‑to‑date overview of food security conditions in Lao PDR. Conducted jointly by the Government and the World Food Programme (WFP), the assessment was designed to inform evidence‑based policies and programmes at a time of increasing climate, economic, and livelihood pressures.
Based on nationally representative household data and complementary sources, the analysis highlights both progress and persistent vulnerabilities, particularly among rural and climate‑exposed populations. The findings offer critical insights to guide strategic planning, strengthen social protection systems, and support coordinated efforts to improve food security and nutrition across the country.
