LAUNCH OF A JRC SURVEY ON MENTAL HEALTH

  • News | 19 Jan 2026

A JRC survey on decoding depression has recently been launched to better understand how people across the EU and globally find, evaluate, and use information about mental health, and especially about depression, and how social, digital and environmental factors influence these behaviours.

The survey organisers need as many replies as possible, ideally from all over Europe. By sharing their views, citizens will help to shape more effective, inclusive, and evidence-based mental health strategies and communication tools across the EU.

To take part in the survey,

  • Watch the explanatory video: it provides context on the survey, its objectives, and how the data will be used.
  • Complete the survey: survey analysis will start once a minimum of 1 000 responses are reached. The sooner the organisers reach this milestone, the sooner they can begin producing policy-relevant outputs.
  • Share and amplify: share the survey within your networks and act as ambassadors.
