Scenario of reduction of nutrient emissions to air

Dashboard for visualization of the comparison of Nitrogen atmospheric deposition estimated by the model EMEP. Current: Nitrogen atmospheric deposition estimated for year 2015 Scenario: estimated considering emission reductions of PM2.5, SO2 and NOx.

  • Scenario: estimated considering emission reductions of PM2.5, SO2 and NOx according to the EU Fit For 55 package, and 2030 projections of NH3 and NMVOCs as per the National Emission Ceiling Directive (NEC).
     
Map data come as output of EMEP model and have been aggregated at a country level.
The dashboard consists of:
  • Two web maps (current and 2030 scenarios) showing original raster data with following features:
    • Raster data resolution: 0.1 x 0.1 deg EPSG 4326 WGS84
    • Raster unit of measures: [mg substance/sqm/y]
    • Reference year: 2015 and 2030
    • Raster spatial coverage: Europe
    • Spatial coverage of aggregated data: EU27 + UK
  • Two column charts displaying scenarios of N deposition:
     
    • Total Nitrogen deposition by country [t]
    • Mean Nitrogen deposition by country [mg/sqm]
The charts work dynamically with the maps as follows:
 
  • No active feature selection: charts show totals for the entire datasets
  • Active feature selection: charts show aggregated totals for selected polygons
