Digital Transition for Agriculture and Rural Areas - Vision Framework

  • Visualisation | 14 May 2024

What is the purpose of digital transition from the perspectives of farmers and rural communities?

Which values and principles should guide it?

What are the enablers for the adoption and use of digital technologies

The vision framework below outlines the key elements that can support the digital transition of agriculture and rural areas.

This vision framework emerged in the foresight study Digital Transition: Long-term Implications for Farmers & Rural Communities. Read here about the process of the developing the framework.

To navigate and explore the vision framework, simply click on the elements of the visualisation below. Clicking on the + at the centre will display all the elements of the vision framework. By selecting a specific element, you can read its definition and related questions for reflection and discussion.

Interested to use the vision framework in a physical workshop? Check out the toolkit for developing or improving a digital transition strategy that builds upon this framework.
