Session proposals for the 4th Public Participation and Deliberative Democracy Festival

On 15 May 2022 we closed the call for sessions for the 4th Public Participation and Deliberative Democracy Festival. In response to the call, we have received a record number of submissions. We would like to first of all thank all those who sent us their proposals. We were very happy particularly about their variety: they came from across the whole of Europe; from well-established as well as new initiatives; from NGOs, advocacy groups, researchers and community groups; touching a variety of important and timely topics.

The theme of youth participation also strongly resonated with the Community of Practice, as most sessions proposed to address this issue head on. Moreover, we also received a lot of submissions from youth organisations, which promises that the voices of young generations will be well represented during the Festival.

Over the next weeks we will review and asses all the proposals and get back to all those who proposed their ideas. As during the previous years, we will aim to give you a varied agenda of panel discussions about the latest developments regarding participatory and deliberative democracy, insightful analyses of issues and trends, workshops on tools and methods, showcases of interesting projects and – last but not least – sessions giving voice to the citizens themselves.

Stay tuned for the latest developments!
