Learning Lab

The Learning Lab on Investing in Quality Education and Training promotes the use of education policy evaluation practices in the EU. It helps improve evidence and identify ways to invest in education policies. These policies in turn will lead to better learning outcomes and equity.

Tailored training courses on Education Policy Impact Evaluation

The purpose of the tailored training courses is to introduce into causal impact evaluation methods known as counterfactual impact evaluation techniques, like propensity score matching and differences-in-differences methods.

The course provides all the necessary ingredients that EU Member States who wish to plan evaluation need to know, from the design to the choice and analysis of data and the interpretation of results. These non-technical courses do not require any previous knowledge on impact evaluation from participants and are tailored to specific contexts and needs of the Member State registering interest in the course.

Participants are EU Member States implementing bodies, coordination authorities or other related stakeholders involved in or aiming to conduct education impact evaluation.

Express your interest in taking part in a tailored training course by writing to: JRC-CCME-LearningLab@ec.europa.eu

General training courses on Education Policy Impact Evaluation

The purpose of the general training courses is the same as that of tailored training courses. However, these courses are not tailored to specific country needs but can be attended by participants across European Member states.
