This report provides an overview of the notifications, sent by EU Member States and Switzerland to the European Commission and other Member States between 2022 and 2024, on the presence or appearance of plant pests found on their territory, as well as the measures taken to eradicate or avoid the spread of the pests concerned. The EUROPHYT-Outbreaks notification system for plant pests was developed with a view to facilitating the notification process in line with EU legal requirements. All Member States and Switzerland have used the electronic web-based system to notify plant pest outbreaks since 2017. The European Commission analyses these notifications and routinely discusses them with the EU Member States. In certain cases, emergency measures are adopted at EU level to strengthen the requirements for control.
