This report provides an overview of the impact and achievements of the Platform for Agricultural Risk Management (PARM) initiative in 2025. PARM is a multi-stakeholder initiative established in 2013 to strengthen food security and resilience.
PARM provides technical assistance to governments and stakeholders to identify, assess and prioritize agricultural risks at sector and value chain levels. Through participatory processes, PARM designs integrated packages of agricultural risk management (ARM) tools and solutions while investing in capacity development and knowledge sharing.
Significant milestones included the presentation of four investment projects in Burundi, Ghana, Madagascar, and Tunisia, the development of three ARM curricula and modules in Tunisia and Uganda, the strengthening of PARM’s partnership with the ECOWAS Commission and the promotion of North-South collaboration.
The programme has implemented two phases, Horizon 1 (2014-2019) and Horizon 2 (2019-2025), with Horizon 3 set to launch in 2026.
