Malawi: Country Food and Agriculture Delivery Compact

The Plan: Implementation of the compact will directly contribute to achieving an optimally productive, commercialized agriculture sector for self-reliance at household, community, and national levels as outlined in the Malawi Implementation Plan 1 of the Malawi Vision 2063. The plan identifies rice and soybeans as sample prioritized value chains of investment in the compact. For maximum results, compact implementation will build on ongoing national flagship initiatives in the agriculture sector such as the Shire Valley Transformation Program, the Agriculture Commercialization Project and the Agriculture Infrastructure and Youth in Agribusiness Project.
