Overview
As a part of the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030, the Commission will work closely with the European Parliament and Member States to ensure a high level of EU ambition and mobilize all efforts for the good of the world’s biodiversity. The EU is ready to lead all efforts to agree an ambitious new global framework for post-2020 at the upcoming 15th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, and use external action to promote its ambition.
Actions
To enable such EU leadership on the international biodiversity scene, the European Commission has planned the key following actions:
