Anastasia DELIGKIAOURI

Policy Analyst,

I currently work as a policy analyst at JRC-European Commission and I am  in charge of the Learning and Development activities of the Unit. I am developing and delivering courses and trainings for scientists and policymakers at the Science for Policy interface. I am also part of the JRC team in the TSI project on Capacity building in EIPM in 7 EU member states and in which I am developing and delivering the relevant trainings.

Before joining the JRC I have worked as an academic and researcher for over 15 years in Greece, UK and Ireland in the area of political science with emphasis on European studies, democracy and deliberation. My research work is focusing on political communication, European politics, democracy and discourse analysis. I have been an Assistant professor in political communication and political science. From 2018-2020 I was a Marie Curie Fellow on a project funded by Horizon2020  ('PEREDEP) with the topic of promoting e-rulemaking in the EU through deliberative procedures. The project studied the current state of the 2015 Better Regulation Agenda of the EU and proposed ways to enhance its participatory and deliberative features. The last project in which I have worked as a senior researcher in Ireland (Dublin City University) entitled 'Meditaized EU', analyzed media discourses of Europeanisation in several member states and Georgia.
