Biodiversity and Health: the WHO-CBD Joint Work Programme
This website covers joint WHO-CBD work on biodiversity and heath. It aims to raise awareness of the intimate interconnections between healthy ecosystems and human health, and to support policy-makers, practitioners and the broader international community in addressing the pressing challenges. It includes the Interagency Liaison Group on Biodiversity and Health, established (in 2017) and co-Chaired by CBD and WHO. Among its members are FAO, UNEP, UNFCCC, UNISDR, UNU, UNSCN, CGIAR and IUCN.

The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity (TEEB)
The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity (TEEB) is a global initiative focused on “making nature’s values visible.” Its principal objective is to mainstream the values of biodiversity and ecosystem services into decision-making at all levels.

This website, hosted by the Stockholm Resilience Centre, covers the discussion of the planetary boundaries concept from 2009 onwards.

The Millennium Ecosystem Assessment
The Millennium Ecosystem Assessment assessed the consequences of ecosystem change for human wellbeing. From 2001 to 2005, more than 1360 experts worldwide worked on the MA. Their findings, available on this website, provide a state-of-the-art scientific appraisal of the condition and trends in global ecosystems and their services, as well as the scientific basis for action to conserve and use them sustainably.
