This work contributes to the realisation of a new strategic research and innovation agenda (SRIA) for the development of a Sustainable Food System Partnership (P-SFS) for the enhancement of EU Research and Innovation (R&I) goals and funding programmes. Specific objectives are: • the identification of EU funded R&I projects (Horizon2020 and beyond) focus areas and gaps for food systems transition, in the lens of a new food systems approach; • the outlining of major R&I needs for future-proof food systems.
