The EC Knowledge Centre for Biodiversity (KCBD) has been appointed to host and coordinate a European Subregional Technical and Scientific Cooperation Support Centre (TSCC) to support the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KM GBF), in partnership with the Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN Med) and the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (RBINS).

The core functions of the TSCC are to provide a "one-stop service centre” for Parties to biodiversity-related conventions, indigenous peoples and local communities, women and youth organizations, and other relevant stakeholders to access technical and scientific knowledge, expertise, tools and other resources, taking into account the science, technology and innovation capability gaps identified by Parties.
