Highlights from GRELL-ENCR 2025 in Porto

Cancer

From May 27-30, over 300 experts from 30 EU and Latin-language countries gathered in Porto, Portugal, for the GRELL-ENCR 2025 Ascension Meeting . 

Co-organized by the JRC and hosted by the Instituto Português de Oncologia do Porto, the event focused on advancing cancer registration through cutting-edge discussions on AI, digital tools, and data timeliness.

This collaborative effort sets the stage for upcoming activities aimed at enhancing cancer registries’ data quality feeding the European Cancer Information System (ECIS).
