The European Research and Innovation Days, Europe's annual flagship event on the future of research and innovation, are starting today and will take place online until tomorrow 24 June.
This year they will feature more than 60 live sessions and connect around 20,000 policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and citizens. The event provides an interactive platform to co-design next steps to strengthen the European Research Area, as well as European research and innovation policies that will lead the recovery from the coronavirus pandemic and the green and digital transitions.
This year's edition will also mark the launch of Horizon Europe, the new EU research and innovation programme for 2021-2027. At launch, we count 66 open and forthcoming calls for grants and tenders that are addressing biodiversity published on the portal.
At the same time, the virtual European Research and Innovation Exhibition will showcase over 100 EU-funded projects that have made an impact on people's daily lives, funded through preceding EU research and innovation programmes.
